Being one of nine students picked out of the hat to go on the school trip to the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972, with Mr John Day.
We went in the open backed school Landrover through France. Arriving in Munichbthe campsite was full so we all camped in a shed. I remember lunches were mainly a big slab of fruitcake and about half a pound of cheddar!
Pupils who also came were Caron Flower, Susan Phillips, David Tucker, Kevin Brockley, Nigel Bilham, Peter Hubbard, Robert Green and David Millington.
