Hiya, here is a memory from my metalwork class at Wales High School 1976
Due to an accident with the drill, a pupil was scalped when his long hair was wrapped around the spinning drill bit. From that day we had to wear hairnets which was an embarrassment to us all, especially when the Queen of hairnets was the battle axe Ena Sharples, a popular soap star of that time in ITVs Coronation Street.
Farrah Fawcett was a beautiful American actress in the hit series Charlie’s Angels.
The metalwork teacher is Mr Coxon for whom I have had to draw from memory.
